Parade Float 2xx
Progress goes on with the painting of the parade float. There should only be a few days left of work. The top two pictures are the latest and more complete.
05/26 The only thing left to install is the bell.

05/24 A few of the parts are yet be to installed on the engine.
05/24 The whistle along with some handles were just painted gold.
05/24 These are the drive rods, they needed to be a chrome color. Wait till you see them on the train.
05/24 The front of the boiler is a shiny flat black, and the back of the boiler is a periwinkle.
05/24 Piece by piece the engine is coming together. The smoke stack is complete now.
05/24 Attention to detail is shown in the next two pictures. The black, red and gold colors just pop.

05/24 The headlight is now installed along with the turn signals.
05/24 The surface of the big wheels were painted flat black to make them disappear. See what I mean about the drive rods?
05/24 Just a few more pieces to install.
05/24 (Tender Picture #1) With the threat of rain the work on the engine will have to wait. The tender needs painting on its interior. You can see the floor has many scratches and defects. In a day or so that will change.

05/26 (Tender Picture #2) The mint color of the walls have been painted and the floor has just been painted. It takes a day for the floor to dry.
05/24 This is the only time you want to be in this position when it comes to a train.
