2007
Milwaukee Road Flangerxx
page 2

We had one of the largest work groups for our Saturday work session yet.
I couldn't be prouder of my friends and fellow museum members and the
way they worked together to prepare for our flanger arrival.

Our crew today was Adam, Lloyd, Chuck, Jeff, Terry, Deb, Phil, Daniel,
Jake, Jim, and Mike. We even had a special helper who finished the
painting on our sheds, a special thank you to Dolly!

05/12/07 The crew built the small section of track in a short time.

05/12/07 To allow trucks the ability to back right over the track we bury them.

05/12/07 Smaller cranes can be used if they can be right next to where
they are unloading.

05/12/07 Smaller cranes equal less per hour costs. Adam operates the
skid steer, the ground is very hard even at this time of year.

05/12/07 We dig down far enough to get the track so it is level with the ground.

05/12/07 Jake and Daniel prepare for lunch time by carrying out our lawn chairs.

05/12/07 Chuck and Phil take a few minutes to catch up on what is going on.

05/12/07 Hot dogs and beans are a great lunch for our hard working crew.

05/12/07 Jim trims the weeds along the fence.

05/12/07 Now that the track is in the hole the crew fills in empty
areas with dirt.

05/12/07 Phil cuts the lawn, there is a huge area that needs cutting.

05/12/07 Lloyd carries dirt for the workers.

05/12/07 Jeff picks up the angle bars to tidy up the work area.

05/12/07 Phil waves as he cuts the lawn.

05/12/07 Ok we are having a shoveling party.

05/12/07 Terry and Lloyd are about to remove one of the track jacks.

05/12/07 Deb, Chuck and Jeff push dirt under the ties for stability.

05/12/07 Adam helps Chuck and Deb.

05/12/07 Wait till you see the flanger in front of the caboose.

05/12/07

05/12/07 Jake listens to music as he waits for his next job.

05/12/07 Trimming the grass makes our museum more of a good
neighbor to the community.
