Track Work #1

GSRM replaces ties and rail in lieu of rent for
storage of our equipment at the Chaska, MN
United Sugar Plant.

Saturday 04/22/06 - In this series of pictures we are
replacing ties near the front rail gait. Not long ago
there was a derailment here and many of the ties are bad.

Chuck is starting a spike that will be driven into the tie.

Lloyd is getting the compressor ready for driving spikes.

Take a break, glad no trains are scheduled!

Chuck pulls a spike so another tie can be slid out for replacement.

The jack holds the rail high so tie plates can be removed.

Big discussion on fit of the tie plate.

Get out of my way, let me whack it!

I think you have it!

No just a little more of an adjustment!

Ok, lets cover our trenches we dug to get the ties out.

Anyone want to help?
