Train Talk Time

This is a free Library program that targets kids ages 3-8 yrs. and their parents.
We feel that railroad grade crossing safety and railroad property trespassing
instruction can be assisted by getting the kids attention first through talk of
trains in general. Format and content is important when getting the attention
of youngsters. The reading of a railroad book gets them comfortable with the
presenters, after the reading a show and tell format keeps their attention.
Email us to set up a show date:
ttt@chugchug.org

1. Read a railroad book to the kids.
2. Display and pass around model & toy trains.
3. An Operation Lifesaver type presentation that not only effects the
kids but also is taken in by the parents that attend.
4. A demonstration of railroad related items for the attendees.
(Date Nails, Morris Code key, Corn Cobb Holders, Depot masters
message hoop and other interesting items.) A light hearted, playful segment.

Since the debut of Thomas the Tank little kids are in love with railroading.
Even if you don't live near tracks you may visit someone who does live near
tracks. Our program will help to caution kids about the dangers around
railroad tracks.

Have your local library contact us for open dates after Januar 1, 2006.

As always this program is subject to change as we make it better.
